My daughter pointed out that this would help deal with the problem of ensuring that melted butter and syrup get into the little holes under each waffle, because the Lego bumps will press both upwards, coating the ENTIRE waffle and creating an even tighter seal between waffles.
As if this idea wasn't winning enough.
