A Pride of Nerds

So, the reason Wife's head got smaller in the third panel is that she had to deflect some of the air from her head down her arm so she could inflate her fist for our fist-bump.

Like when balloon sculptors put that little bulgy ball at the end of a balloon-poodle's tail.

Not that you asked or anything.

Legend of the Fall

Incidentally, I'm starting a Norwegian thrash metal band called "Retroactive Nightmare."  Because that is the ONE thing this world doesn't have yet.

Laugh Tracking

For the record, I offered to clean the schmutz off Younger Daughter's face in the last panel, but she told me not to.
She thinks it looks like a dimple.  It looks about as much like a dimple as Younger Daughter looks like my ACTUAL younger daughter.

Which I guess kind of works.

Loss of Controls

The thing is, I know it makes no sense, but really, my head keeps trying to tell me it WOULD help.

So I tell my head to shut up.  And then like six hours later, it just leans in and says, "But it would, you know."

The Chicken and the Egg Salad

In all honesty, I think a really awesome comic book supervillain would be a guy who has a transparent sack full of caffienated monkeys where his head should be.
Only his monkeys would be firing lasers.
Obviously.

And he'd be called The Chimp-Personator.  And he gets really aggravated when people don't pronounce both P's in his name.

Parental Controls

The questions that linger:
  1. When had she ever smelled a bear before?
  2. Assuming she had NEVER smelled a bear, why would she imagine that the smell of my head would somehow hold similar scent properties?
  3. Is there a bear cub somewhere sniffing his dad's head and saying grunting that his dad smells like humans?
  4. You guys realize that the weirdness ship has definitely sailed for Older Daughter, right?

Ear Words

For those who are wondering what my wife is up to in this comic, I can tell you she's either
A) chopping slices of sausage for jambalaya, or
B) basting a pile of poker chips

Tattwo

This is absolutely, true, by the way.  I went with him to the parlor when he had this done.
